    Hello there!

I live in Edmonton, AB and I will soon be a very active member of the Green Party, and I believe that we need to clean up our cities. I haven’t joined my schools Project Green, because I don’t fell like they get anything done. In fact there most recent campaign is a project that doesn’t promote post-winter clean up around the city, and is working on earning money but they won’t tell us what the money will go towards. I’m not sure if they even know. I wish they were more effective, but the meetings I went to the people didn’t seem very interested in bettering our enviornment. I was wondering if I could use your slogan to put a few posters up around my school. I am a graphic designer, and would like to design just a small poster to encourage people around my school and city to pick up at least one piece of trash a day, and to stop throwing things on the ground next to trash cans. I would greatly appreciate it if you would give me written consent to use your slogan, if not, thank you for your time!

    Hello Fellow Green Rhode Islanders,

If you are interested in the litter issue- do I have an opportunity for you! Project Clean Sweep is the first widespread effort to clean the marine debris that has been accumulating for years on Narragansett Bay’s shorelines. This project is a partnership of RI DEM and Clean The Bay, a non-profit formed by two local boat captains.

Project Clean Sweep will be holding beach and shoreline cleanups around the Bay all summer. Join one of our pre-scheduled cleanups, or hold a cleanup for your group. Visit our website http://www.cleanthebay.org for more info.

hi elizabeth. just wanted to tell you that, at the robert moses state park on fire island new york, some of the utility vehicles have the pick up one piece of litter a day bumperstickers on them. next time i am out there i plan to give them yours to distribute. it is a high litter area and they use park workers, most of who are latino, to clean up after the weekends. maybe we can make a difference. i will suggest to them, as an experiment, they place them in high-vis areas.

Hello out there…..my name is Canada Litter King.
I legally changed my name to C.L.K. in the year 2001 to dedicate my life to finding solutions that would be fun in creating litter free environments.

Without any question litter has a stigma attached to it, its gross, its disgusting, why would a person ever touch it, this is just a small portion of why the problem exist !

The truth is, the general public is confused as to what pride actually is, one persons pride says not me, I’m not touching that litter….but luckily another person says, thats a reflection on me, I care, I have pride, I will clean it….congrad’s to all of you !

Regarding Litter……litter can only be slowed through creating Unity….Unity helps create Voice….Voice equates to forming Concern….Concern equates to stirring up Action…..I thank the creators of this web site for making Unity more possible through this web site.

Regarding litter and the stigma attached….I have found a way that heps erase the stigma….when gathering litter, its not what your doing, but more so how you do it….

Make litter gathering fun….become a character while cleaning up, Like me I dress as a King…..dont carry a old plastic bag….make a mobile talking human like trashcan on wheels, put a car stereo in it, play your favorite tunes ……wear a patriot jersey…..just have fun, promote that your proud to serve…..people do care…..anyhow, anyone who needs some inspiration feeling they are not appreciated for cleaning up, your wrong, I love you for your efforts…google my
name to see just how much ones efforts can be appreciated Sincerely Canada Litter King
